Stowhouse Farm Cottages welcomes you
Stowhouse Farm is located on the outskirts of Durham City and has four self catering holiday cottages for rent which are rated 4 stars by Visit England. Nestling within peaceful Durham farmland, these four pretty and very comfortable cottages are ideally situated for exploring the unspoilt treasures of County Durham and England's northerly counties.
Tourist attractions as diverse as Northumberland's glorious coastline, Alnwick Castle, and Gateshead's Metro Centre lie within easy reach along with Durham City and its magnificent castle and cathedral is just 9 miles away. Our self catering cottages are also in close proximity to Newcastle, Sunderland and Bishop Auckland. Stowhouse Farm Self Catering Cottages are located within 11 miles from Beamish Museum and are in close proximity to the Durham Dales and North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our holiday cottages are self catering and vary in size, but adopt the same quality approach to furnishing and decoration throughout. In every cottage, you will find books, pictures and prints, comfortable seating and a great sense of style. We provide the ultimate surroundings in which to enjoy the magnificent views and many visitor attractions of County Durham. All linen, towels and gas/electricity are included in the price. You will receive a warm welcome from Keith and Jane on arrival and a welcome pack is provided in each cottage. Free fresh farm eggs from our own hens are available on request. We welcome families and for guests with babies and small children we have cots and high chairs which are available free of charge. We supply a variety of fun indoor games for children and nature packs to keep children occupied with outdoor activities. We offer an abundance of space for children to run free and with clean fresh county air they will be worn out ready for a peaceful night sleep in our cosy beds. Cornsay village has a children's play area and is only a short walk away and the nearby villages of Satley, Tow Law and Lanchester have a variety of village shops, pubs, restaurants and a bank.
Set on a 60 acre farm our holiday cottages overlook the River Browney valley through which many wonderful walks start from the door and the coast to coast cycle route is nearby as are golf, fishing and horse riding.
