We offer the perfect holiday destination for you and your horse to take a break together.
Wolsingham County Show is held nearby as are Durham County Show which is held at Herrington Country Park, Sunderland and Northumberland County Show, Corbridge. For competitors and horses we offer the perfect location to stay whilst visiting our region for these events. We have the facilities for you and your horse to stay during the shows and where you and your horse can relax and unwind after the event and perhaps visit some of the many visitor attractions County Durham has to offer.
We offer 60 acres of private off road farmland with open fields to ride through. Alternatively you and your horse can ride along the many quiet country lanes and bridleways. Hamsterley Forest is nearby which also has horse riding trails which take various routes through the forest and surrounding countryside.
There is plenty of parking for your trailers and horse boxes. Stabling is usually DIY but if you want us to do the hard work for you, we can do the mucking out for you while you have a barbeque or relax in our 4 star rated holiday cottages.
Hay and shavings bedding are included in the cost. Wheelbarrows, mucking out tools and brushes are available.
We have a selection of show jumps and why not try our fun cross country course, which has three levels of ability.
